Vaccines are one of the safest and most effective ways to protect your child from serious illnesses. Following the recommended schedule ensures protection arrives before your child is most at risk.
Key milestones
- At birth: BCG, Hepatitis B and OPV.
- 6, 10 and 14 weeks: DTP, IPV, Hib, Hepatitis B, Rotavirus and PCV.
- 9–12 months: MMR and typhoid conjugate vaccine.
- 15–18 months: boosters for MMR, DTP, IPV and Hib, plus varicella.
Mild fever or soreness after a vaccine is normal and usually settles in a day or two. Keep your child’s vaccination card safe and bring it to every visit — our paediatricians will tell you what is due next.
