Seasonal flu spreads quickly, especially in crowded places. Most people recover at home, but children, older adults and people with chronic conditions can develop complications.
Lower your risk
- Get the annual flu vaccine.
- Wash your hands often and avoid touching your face.
- Cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home when unwell.
When to see a doctor
Seek medical care for high fever lasting more than three days, difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion or signs of dehydration.
