Regular prenatal visits help keep you and your baby healthy and catch potential issues early.
First trimester (weeks 1–12)
Start folic acid, confirm the pregnancy with an ultrasound and complete your first blood tests. Nausea and tiredness are common.
Second trimester (weeks 13–27)
The anomaly scan is done around 18–20 weeks, and many women feel their baby move for the first time. Screening for gestational diabetes follows.
Third trimester (weeks 28–40)
Visits become more frequent. Watch for reduced movements, severe headaches, swelling or bleeding, and contact us immediately if they occur.
